Career  Events & News.......2006   Careers UAE 2006...great career opportunities at Careers UAE 2006. Tanmia has partnered in organising the career fair, Careers UAE 2006, under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, UAE Minister of Finance and Industry and the Chairman of Dubai World Trade Centre from 23rd till 25th of April 2006. for the fourth consecutive year. It will guide candidates registered with its database, to companies where jobs are available. Careers UAE 2006 primarily aims at encouraging partnership between industry and education in a bid to achieve employment targets set under the Emiratisation programme. Dubai eGovernment offers great career opportunities at Careers UAE 2006 Tanmia, the National Human Resource Development & Employment Authority in the UAE, was established by a Presidential decree in November 1999, to address the imbalance in the labour market, due to excessive dependence on expatriate workforce. Tanmia is engaged in a coordinating role, between national job seekers and employers in the private and government sectors, to facilitate increased entry of nationals in the labour market. The responsibilities that rest with the Authority are: to set up the overall policy of the Authority and supervise its implementation, conduct sustained operational and administrative labour market studies and analysis, provide career counseling and guidance to the national work force, follow-up and evaluate employment of nationals in public and private sectors, support small investment enterprises through the establishment of self-employment projects for national human resources and develop programmes for training and qualifying nationals seeking employment, in conformity with the labour market needs. <read more>   Counselling Arabia 2006 is the fourth conference of this kind to be held in the UAE. The conference will be hosted by The Center for Applied Studies in Education at the Sharjah Higher Colleges of Technology under the theme Moving Forward-Creating Tomorrow. This theme includes innovations, challenges, changes and transitions that are influencing counselling issues and practices. Due to the success of the previous conferences, this year the conference will be held over a two-day period from May 2nd-3rd. In addition to the two-day conference there will be a pre-conference training day immediately preceding the conference on May 1st and a post-conference training day on Thursday May 4th. <Arabian Travel Market  2006-2007>   7th Annual Research Conference.. The 7th Annual Research Conference was held at UAE University from 22 – 24, April 2006 Focusing to build and maintain a strong ethical platform for all aspects of the Centre's research and internal operations, and serve as a role model within the University and the broader society to enhance safety. Furthermore, Prof Mourad has briefed about the different activities of the Mech. Eng. Dept, like teaching, research, university development and community services. The research affairs of the UAEU support different types of funded research programs, which are individual and interdisciplinary. There are also externally funded research programs.
