The IAA was launched the German
Chapter. This event
was long overdue and created much interest in the German
media/marketing community.
The event took place in Frankfurt with 84 attendants
from all over Germany. The opening address was made
jointly by the IAA’s World President Michael Lee and
Bernd Reuter from Carat (Germany) who is the German
Chapter President. Two guest speakers: Professor Paddy
Barwise from The London
Business School who was the opening speaker at the IAA
Euro Summit back in July and Wolfgang Giehl Director
Branding and Corporate Advertising at DHL had talked
abut "Branding" in general and especially "How to build
up a global Brand and the Consequences of an
international Communication".
The event was sponsored by 15 organisations: clients,
agencies and the international media.

Having been very much involved with this launch as Vice
President, I am delighted that we can now see the light at the end of
the tunnel. Germany as one of the largest European market was missing in
the chain of 96 IAA Chapters worldwide. The launch event proved that
there is a need of such kind of events for the German marketing/media
community. The geographical decentralization in Germany is no barrier to
get the international advertising community together.
Next step is to start planning the future, next events, seminars, young
professional chapter and more. |
