The summer in Nova Scotia is a wonderful time to be in Nova Scotia,
Canada’s Ocean Playground. The sea breezes, warm climate, and friendly
people make it an ideal environment for which to study, and participate
in recreational and cultural activities.
We offer a program that will provide campers with an exciting Canadian
experience. Students can enjoy the beautiful nature of our region,
explore the city of Halifax, our Capitol, and enjoy visiting Peggy’s
Cove, and Lunenburg, an UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The program includes high quality English language instruction, exciting
excursions, and most of all, kind attention and guidance. The people of
Nova Scotia are well known for their hospitality and we welcome all
visitors.
We offer English instruction each weekday morning (Monday-Friday) for 3
hours. Qualified ESL teachers lead the classes. Classes are interactive
and give students the opportunity to improve both verbal and written
English. Students also get the opportunity to take part in cultural and
sports activities. Sports such as beach volleyball, soccer, softball,
and swimming will be offered. A number of tours and excursions are also
offered so that students may learn about Nova Scotia’s unique history
and culture.
Our ESL Camp is held on a local university campus. It is located in a
quiet area of the community and within walking distance to a corner
store where students may purchase snacks and rent

facilities include, an indoor swimming pool, sports facilities, outdoor
recreation space, dining room, and residence with common rooms. Rooms
are shared, two students per room.
Truro, a town with 32,000 inhabitants, is located in the center of Nova
Scotia and is a short drive from many activities and attractions. It is
a one-hour drive from the capitol city of Halifax, far enough from the
city to provide the perfect place for study and recreation. Away from
traffic jammed streets and pollution we provide a fresh, clean
environment where student can learn well and play safe. The town has
movie theatres, bowling alleys, shopping malls, museums, recreation
parks, a hospital, and four medical clinics. Truro is located 45 minutes
from the Halifax International Airport.
Come and enjoy our camp! We hope to see you there.
